Lubrizol is currently seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join our corporate HR team. In this role, you are a key member of the Corporate HR Team and the leadership teams of your assigned global corporate divisions. You would act as strategic business partner, responsible for working in a global matrix environment. Additionally, you will lead the execution of HR objectives including workforce planning, organizational design, talent management, compensation guidance, leadership development, coaching, and change initiatives.


Essential Job Functions  

  • Lead HR talent strategies, programs, and initiatives for assigned divisions
  • Build relationships to become a fully contributing, equal partner with executive leaders and senior leadership teams
  • Consult with division leaders to identify talent opportunities, systematically provide potential solutions
  • Lead and support the development of strategic workforce plans; identify talent needs and suggest options to close gaps.  
  • Partner and work closely with HR Centers of Expertise (total rewards, talent management and diversity and inclusion) in the implementation of corporate policies, practices and processes.
  • Consult with Total Rewards to conduct equity and utilization analyses of compensation programs including merit, incentive plans, rewards & recognition and promotion.
  • Work with Talent Management to identify key employee populations and provide input / feedback on leadership / team development programs.
  • Drive Diversity & Inclusion initiatives to achieve global diversity targets for corporate divisions
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to create a strategic recruitment plan for the identification, sourcing and hiring of top talent
  • Leverage extended HR Business Partner network to identify potential roles, rotations or assignments for current employees
  • Review data reports and dashboards to analyze talent trends and educate leadership teams to make better and informed talent decisions
  • Support special projects to improve the overall engagement of employees


Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management or related field and a minimum of 7 years HR experience with at least 3 years of generalist experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience partnering / consulting with senior executives and leadership teams  
  • Deals effectively with global and local workforce complexities
  • Effectively manages ambiguity and change; comfortable with uncertainty
  • Independently identifies talent needs for client groups
  • Collaborates with COEs to solve problems and implement solutions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
