Full Year Internship – Toxicology and Product Safety

This role may be remote within our operating footprint.

The Toxicology and Product Safety Internship is for the rising junior or senior with a passion for Toxicology or Pharmaceutical Sciences.  This position will assist the department in ensuring Lubrizol products comply with applicable hazard communication and chemical control regulations.  This highly interactive internship offers an opportunity to learn more about a career in global chemical regulatory compliance and hazard communication.   Take this opportunity to stand out and be a leader!

A day in the life

• Assist in the review of toxicology data used in conducting health and environmental hazard assessments
• Assist in the chemistry evaluations of Lubrizol products and raw materials to support our compliance management program.
• Work with a product safety & compliance specialist to review and accurately record data in our compliance management system.
• Maintain documents via the product safety & compliance SharePoint site.
• Work with industrial toxicologists to establish testing protocols for Lubrizol products.
• Work with hazard classification specialists in the assessment of toxicology data to determine global classifications.

Who are we looking for?

• Top students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree Toxicology (or related science) from an accredited college or university
• Desire and flexibility to commit to a 40 hour work week during the summer of 2022 and part time during the school year 
• Strong interest in and knowledge of toxicology
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Professional oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable working in a team environment
