We are currently searching for a R&D Project Engineer (m/f/d) to join our BMT team in Gilching, Bavaria. 

 

Essential Functions:  

  • Developing technical solutions for new medical devices and further development of existing products, taking into account regulatory requirements and customer specifications, as well as manufacturing and commercial aspects. 
  • Organizing and arranging project activities between internal project teams as well as with customers and cooperation partners.  
  • Creating technical product documentation (Design History File) according to internal specifications, guidelines, applicable standards and customer requirements. 
  • Collaborating with the QM department to meet FDA and CE requirements related to design, risk assessment, product testing and validation. 
  • Planning, executing, and coordinating design verifications, process validations and design transfers. 
  • Developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for the production of minimally invasive medical devices. 
  • Preparing and presenting project proposals to customers including costing, timelines, deliverables and services to be provided 

 

Skills, Qualifications, Professional Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in plastics engineering, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable field  
  • Experience in working on development projects preferred; however, motivated graduates also qualify for this position  
  • Experience in project management preferred, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment  
  • Team player with a results-driven attitude  
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and a passion for learning  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in German and English
