The Montana site of Lubrizol is a leading medical device manufacturing facility. We create custom medical devices through silicone fabrication from our ISO 13485 certified facilities. Our products consist of silicone tissue expanders, sheeting, patches, and other silicone medical devices. We take pride in the quality of our products and maintain quality staff on our team.

We have several ISO 7 and ISO 8 certified clean rooms within our campus. Our controlled environment allow for multiple line operations to occur efficiently without compromising on quality.

POSITION SUMMARY:  The QA Specialist is primarily responsible for performing inspection of raw materials, sub-assembled products, labeling, and finished goods. The QA Specialist coordinates the efficient movement of product through the manufacturing processes and assists in the quarantine and disposition non-conforming product as determined by MRB. 



  • Perform incoming product, sub–assembly, labeling, and finished goods inspections using established Quality Assurance procedures and good documentation practices. Requires use of drawings to identify specifications and at times the use of calipers or other testing equipment.
  • Inspect and complete production records for adherence to good documentation practices.
  • Quarantine and disposition non-conforming product as directed and according to non-conforming material procedures
  • Perform clerical/secretarial functions; filing, typing, data entry, etc. within QA department.
  • Create graphs from data input files for management review and production use.
  • Assist with document control activities (i.e. formatting, modifying, routing, approval, release, and issuance of approved documents, as well as, document archival and retrieval.)
  • Work well under pressure – meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrate a cooperative behavior with coworkers and supervisors at all times.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Observe and promote Company standards and policies on safety, quality and productivity.
  • Understand Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in medical device and clean room environment.
  • Support and observe 5S and other lean manufacturing methodologies.



  • Successful completion of 4-years of high school or equivalent.
  • A working knowledge of computers and windows based computer software experience is essential.
  • Excellent (written and verbal) communication and effective human interaction skills.
  • Flexible to change and possess a high degree of integrity and a “can do attitude”.
  • Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals.
  • Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner.

Lubrizol Montana is located in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley of Western Montana, within Ravalli County. Surrounded by the Bitterroot and Sapphire mountain ranges, the Valley provides scenic views and immediate access to the Anaconda-Pintler and Selway-Bitterroot wilderness areas. Our location allows for almost immediate access to the Clark Fork and Bitterroot Rivers, hiking, fishing, camping, rock climbing, hunting, snowmobiling, and skiing at Lost Trail Pass or Snowbowl Resorts. Our location is also a short distance from Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park.  We have two locations within the Bitterroot Valley. Our primary location is just south of Victor and the second site is located in Hamilton, Montana
