The Montana site of Lubrizol is a leading medical device manufacturing facility. We create custom medical devices through silicone fabrication from our ISO 13485 certified facilities. Our products consist of silicone tissue expanders, sheeting, patches, and other silicone medical devices. We take pride in the quality of our products and maintain quality staff on our team.

We have several ISO 7 and ISO 8 certified clean rooms within our campus. Our controlled environment allow for multiple line operations to occur efficiently without compromising on quality.

POSITION SUMMARY:  

The Purchasing/Shipping Clerk is primarily responsible for accurately receiving items into the plant and accurately controlling the inventory by; properly labeling product for identification, processing paperwork (Certificate of Compliance, MSDS, etc.), entering information into inventory software when applicable, placing product in proper location, recording cycle count adjustments and preforming any other transaction to ensure inventory accuracy.

 

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

  • Receive/Inspect products following procedures/purchase order requirements
  • Accurately record items into inventory; identify and report shortages, damaged goods, or other discrepancies per procedure
  • Label products for identification
  • Inventory maintenance
  • Complete applicable paperwork (Certificate of Compliance, Packing Lists, Invoices, etc.)
  • Enter pertinent information into inventory software
  • Filing of documents
  • Understand and follow applicable SOP’s/QOP’s and work instructions for the area
  • Prepare shipments as required (includes packaging/documents)
  • Demonstrate flexibility and cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors at all times
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Observe and promote Company standards and policies on safety, quality and productivity.

  • Successful completion of four-years of high school, or equivalent.
  • One year of experience or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Previous shipping and/or purchasing experience.
  • Previous clerical, administrative, or customer service experience obtained from work in a professional’s business environment.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office required; Quickbooks experience is a plus).
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a team environment.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical principles.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

The physical demand level for this job is considered medium with frequent lifting between 10-25 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.  Exposure to lifting more than 50 pounds is rare. Frequently the employee may be exposed to static standing/sitting with occasional exposure to shoulder to overhead lift/lower. The employee may occasionally be subject to dynamic standing/walking with constant use of hands to finger/handle or touch, reaching above shoulders, floor to knuckle lift/lower, knuckle to shoulder lift/lower, sustained bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and repetitive bending or squatting.

 

The following vision requirements apply:   close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This position is in an office setting for most of the time. Occasional time will be spent in a warehouse setting when managing shipments.

 

TOOLS/EQUIPMENT/COMPUTER SOFTWARE:

Lubrizol Montana is located in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley of Western Montana, within Ravalli County. Surrounded by the Bitterroot and Sapphire mountain ranges, the Valley provides scenic views and immediate access to the Anaconda-Pintler and Selway-Bitterroot wilderness areas. Our location allows for almost immediate access to the Clark Fork and Bitterroot Rivers, hiking, fishing, camping, rock climbing, hunting, snowmobiling, and skiing at Lost Trail Pass or Snowbowl Resorts. Our location is also a short distance from Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park.  We have two locations within the Bitterroot Valley. Our primary location is just south of Victor and the second site is located in Hamilton, Montana
