The Montana site of Lubrizol is a leading medical device manufacturing facility. We create custom medical devices through silicone fabrication from our ISO 13485 certified facilities. Our products consist of silicone tissue expanders, sheeting, patches, and other silicone medical devices. We take pride in the quality of our products and maintain quality staff on our team.

We have several ISO 7 and ISO 8 certified clean rooms within our campus. Our controlled environment allow for multiple line operations to occur efficiently without compromising on quality.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Material Handler will provide support to the production floor, manufacturing, and quality through the execution of planning, and logistics of materials on hand.   Responsibilities will include communicating with Manufacturing to ensure availability of materials when requested and will provide the needed material to the floor to meet production schedule, and the preparation/release of shipments to customers.

 

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Maintains and follows schedule for shipment to customers
    • Ensures shipping is processed in a timely manner to support OTIF objectives
    • Preparation of customer products for shipment based on customer requirements/orders.
    • Palletization of customer shipments
    • Wrap orders for delivery (as required)
    • Creation of shippers/packing lists and FedEx/UPS (etc.) documentation
    • Final packaging of customer products into shipping cartons.
  • Prepare internal shipments for other satellite facilities
    • Consolidate deliveries ensuring safe transport of raw materials/sub-assemblies
    • Drive delivery van in safe professional manner
    • Collect any raw materials/sub-assemblies to deliver to next satellite facility.
  • Receive and verify incoming pick/request lists from Manufacturing
  • Pull material to fulfill orders or kits correctly and efficiently for Manufacturing
  • Provide feedback to requester if shortages occur
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify potential stock out concerns
  • Document/input orders, materials, and any stock movements in QAD
  • Assist or perform daily cycle counting in the stockroom
  • Receive inventory from suppliers, verifying ordered item received matches what was ordered
  • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders/requests

 

DESCRIPTION OF MARGINAL DUTIES:

  • Check incoming deliveries to ensure all ordered material meets quality standards
  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory.

  • The employee will frequently be subject to pushing/pulling (rough poundage of force), floor to knuckle lift/lower, knuckle to shoulder lift/lower, shoulder to overhead lift/lower, sustained bending, use foot/feet to operate machine, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach above shoulders or repetitive bending or squatting (Pallet jack/Forklift/Ballymore Drivable Power Stocker for transferring and restocking material).

  • The employee will occasionally be exposed to working near moving mechanical parts
  • The employee will rarely (if ever) be subject to temperatures ranging from 1 – 5 degrees plus or minus from the outside, wet humid conditions, working in high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, tool room fumes, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold or heat, risk of electrical shock or travel on company business such as travel for supplies or to FedEx or UPS. 
  • The employee will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as: safety glasses in the designated areas, hairnet/beard net, mask and cleanroom garments when on production floor.

 

TOOLS/EQUIPMENT/COMPUTER SOFTWARE:

The employee will frequently use PC with Microsoft Office products and inventory management software.

Our location is also a short distance from Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park.  We have two locations within the Bitterroot Valley. Our primary location is just south of Victor and the second site is located in Hamilton, Montana
