POSITION SUMMARY:  This position is responsible for ensuring the production assembly cell is actively engaged to meet daily customer demand and the production schedule.  The Manufacturing Lead provides effective training to the team-members in the production cell, and ensures safety and quality/production standards are maintained at all times.  This challenging position places high expectations on effective teamwork, clear communication, initiative, judgment, critical thinking, planning (material and personnel), achieving and maintaining production efficiency, and most importantly, an unwavering dedication to the quality of the product produced for our customers. This position is located onsite at the Lubrizol Hamilton site.

 

SHIFT: Monday through Thursday 2:00 pm – 12:30 am. Each week you will have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off work!

 

SIGN-ON BONUS: $1,500 total. Payout details are as follows:

  • $500 with first paycheck
  • $500 after 90 days
  • $500 after 180 days

 

WAGE: $24+ hourly as base rate, plus $1/hour differential paid for working 2nd shift. Quarterly bonus paid on gross earnings.

 

BASELINE DUTIES: 

  1. Assign work to department operators.
  2. Plan schedules of work loads and track production data.
  3. Provide training and guidance to assigned operators under guidance of Quality system and Safety procedures.
  4. Responsible for all operations/product produced in assigned production cell. 
  5. Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with assigned team-members and the Manufacturing Supervisor.
  6. Ensure accurate documentation and ownership of work completed by yourself and team members
  7. Responsible for team-members performance, attendance, yields, and management of OT and conducting performance evaluations and assisting assigned team-members with a career path
  8. Provide customer commitments and updates to customer service to ensure on time delivery, Commits will be within 3 business day of receipt of customer order.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  1. High School diploma or GED and 3 years of related experience or combination of education and experience.
  2. Experience with managing a team or comparable experience
  3. Proven knowledge of Quality System (training records, examples such as CAPA)
  4. Ability to read and comprehend procedures/drawing/specifications written in English.
  5. Ability to train Production Operators as required
  6. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Basics  
  7. Proven ability to work with hand tools

 

DIRECT REPORTS:   Provide support to Production Supervisor on no less than 4 Production Operators.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Employee must have ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel without shaking/tremors.
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, and reach within hands and arm’s length.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
