What You'll Do: 
As a Manager Instrumentation & Control Systems, you would be responsible to plan & supervise the execution of routine & non-routine maintenance including small project, modification, shutdown & breakdown instrumentation works for improving the operational efficiency. You would also be responsible for the operational performance of Emerson Delta-V, PLC based plant control systems, field instrumentation & reliability; CCTV, EPABX, fire detection & Access control systems. etc.

 

What We're Looking For (Responsibilities / Accountabilities):  

•    Analyze history, prepare & take approval & execute replacement plans for instruments with aim to maintain 100 % uptime of all process plants.
•    Execute & coordinate for day-to-day maintenance of instruments & systems installed in Lab.
•    Design, assess, give input for new interlock schemes, batch processing, Sequential control systems.
•    Creation of new graphics, modification of existing graphics, I/O assignments, modify existing logics and development of new logic in Delta V and PLC system
•    Able to conduct FAT (Factory acceptance testing) at vendor's site.
•    Take lead, participate & contribute in RCA (Root cause analysis), risk analysis, conceptual studies. 
•    Initiate, prepare, maintain, recommend changes in departmental documentation (Formats, checklist, wiring details etc.) & present during 9001, 140001, 450001 MS & Corporate audits.
•    Prepare & interpret the BOM (Bill of Material) specifications, interlock schemes, JB/cable schedule, review P&IDs, hookups, float enquiry for modification jobs, small projects, co-ordinate with detailing engineer for the engineering of projects.
•    Perform self-audits into area of others for the gap analysis in existing systems.
•    Prepare instrument and control system specification, indents, technical scrutiny of vendor offers and inspection of incoming instrument dept. materials to the factory as per the specification.
•    Take lead, ensure, and contribute for the workplace safety, JSA (Job safety analysis), toolbox talk, contract employee safety, electrical safety 
•    Verify the quality of contract work, new equipment etc. & report the observed gap /deviations to the superiors.


Skills That Make a Difference:
•    BE (Instrumentation) with 9-12 years of demonstrated maintenance and project management experience, preferably with specialty chemical plants.
•    Candidate must have at least 5 years of supervisory experience and managing team 6 to 10 instrumentation technicians.
•    Innovative, logical thinking, and reasoning ability.
•    Excellent leadership skills interacting with technicians, Production engineers, senior leaders
•    Microsoft Projects Excel, PPT etc. & strong Project management skills.
