Summary:

As The Account Manager you would be responsible for managing customers within the Canadian Sales Region. As a HUNTER, you would be accountable for developing new business and incremental revenue growth for the Lubrizol Additives business.

 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing and growing current and new accounts in line with overall business strategies and sales management plans.

• Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales targets.

• Develop key account strategies and manage key customer programs.

• Act as “consultant” to accounts, informing them on industry trends and changing market dynamics.

• Identify and intelligently evaluate new market opportunities.

• Establish in-depth relationships within customer organizations and foster trust for improved communications and better understanding of customer needs.

• Develop and maintain excellent communication and internal support throughout the organization.

• Develop relationships and build network within the industry at large.

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field.

• 5 years of commercial experience with at least 2 years in a solution-sales or account management role.

o Solution sales experience within the specialty chemicals (i.e. lubricants or additives) industry is STRONGLY PREFERRED.

• Track record of achieving consistent sales growth.

• Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.

• Fluent in spoken English and capable of writing reports and presenting in English.

• Exceptional interpersonal abilities and a strong winning drive for growth and sales success.

• Willing and able to travel up to 30% (mainly Canada, but some US travel).

• Must be willing to spend the first 3 months in Cleveland, Ohio for onboarding and training.

 

Considered a Plus:

• UPWARD POTENTIAL – interested in and capable of becoming a sales / commercial leader.

• Knowledge of lubricant or lubricant additive industry.

• Ability to speak French.

• MBA or post graduate degree.
