Senior Technical Service Engineer / Technical Service Manager, B&H Japan

PURPOSE:

 

  • Provide efficient and effective technical services to customers in Japan.
  • Technical lead on application development projects with top customers to support the business growth.
  • Self-initiative on new customer projects and be able to balance the priority from all sales request.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:
 

  • Work closely with commercial team to prioritize technical resources in top customer projects or high potential new business opportunities and ensure to achieve expected technical deliveries.
  • Develop broad application knowledge to cover all the segments to fulfill customer’s requests.
  • Work in distributor’s laboratory, perform bench work and develop solutions to solve customer’s technical problems or to meet technical targets on prioritized projects.
  • Collaborate with regional application team to implement global/regional application programs.
  • Get in-depth understanding of market product, industry trend, and the key technology of popular products, develop application project utilizing Lubrizol solutions to achieve the deliveries.
  • Be familiar with competitive products, collect information from the market and conduct comparison study if needed, provide feedback to internal team.
  • Build up strong connections with other regional technical teams to exchange the experiences and the best practice for accelerating the projects development.
  • Provide technical training to both customers and sales partner based on needs.
  • Build-up connections to the personal and home care industry to enforce Lubrizol’s impact.

 

REQUIRMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:
 

  • Master degree or above majoring in chemistry, polymer or related subjects having more than 7 years of experiences in the industry.
  • Bachelor degree with over 10 year of technical experiences in the same or similar areas. 
  • Strong personal care formulation knowledge and skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills, ability to work independently
  • Good listening and communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at different levels
  • Strong desire to acquire new technical knowledge, strong intention to learn new things and perform
  • Conversant with MS Office application software.
  • Be versatile to adapt various cultures.
  • Fluent English in written and speaking.
  • Be adapt around 30% of time of travelling.
