PURPOSE:

 

  • Develops and manages relationships with selected Industrial OEM's on a local Chinese level.
  • Influences and drives industry specifications to enhance Lubrizol’s potential for success.
  • Inputs into the development of additives for industrial oils, metalworking and grease to help grow the business and maximize opportunity in accordance with the segment strategic plans.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Develop and maintain extensive external network of contacts at the assigned OEMs;
  • Develop and maintain extensive internal network of contacts within Lubrizol;
  • Be the main point of contact for the assigned OEM's;
  • Be part of the Industrial Segment group team and work closely with R&D, Marketing and Sales;
  • OEM approvals, coordination, negotiation and maintenance;
  • Influence OEM specifications and Industry standards (mainly GB and ISO);
  • Identify, develop and pursue business opportunities for innovative new technologies at assigned OEMs;
  • Execute Lubrizol strategies at assigned OEMs;
  • Evaluate market opportunities together with R&D;
  • Anticipate trends and react accordingly;
  • Represent Lubrizol in Industry Working groups, on congresses and symposia.

 

REQUIREMENTS (education, experience, competencies and specific job requirements):

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry or comparable subject;
  • 5+ years of working experiences with multinational B2B business/project teams and obtain wide and deep network in Original Equipment Manufacturers;
  • Experience in working on lubricant related matter (for example development or application of lubricants)
  • Technical competence relating to industrial systems, hydraulic and gear will be advantageous;
  • Good commercial skills in identifying opportunities and driving them through to business growth
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese Mandarin;
  • Proficiency with MS Office – PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Self-starter, and self-managed
  • Able to travel frequently
