This position is a regulatory compliance role designed to provide timely regulatory expertise, guidance and support to internal and external customers related to product safety and compliance matters in support of Lubrizol Korea business and customers. This position involves application of Lubrizol chemistry knowledge to the requirements of Korean chemical safety and compliance regulations and customer/business requirements.  It requires effective integration and collaboration with the global product safety and compliance team, supply chain, commercial, operations and research organizations to provide maximum business value.   





  • Support regulatory compliance activities to conduct compliance assessments and determine chemical inventory status of Lubrizol products and support Korean local chemical notifications, reporting obligations, and SDS/Label compliance.
  • Filing of new/existing chemical notifications and registrations for product applications to secure regulatory clearance of products for Korea and other assigned countries in a timely manner


  • Participate in the creation and filing of Korea REACH dossiers for new chemical notifications and related applications to gain product regulatory clearance for the import, manufacture, and/or use of products, intermediates, raw materials, and developmental materials.
  • Conduct compliance assessments and management of all product shipments to assigned Asia Pacific areas via corporate process


  • Communicate with customers and suppliers related to product compliance assessments of products and purchased raw materials respectively


  • Collaborate with global product safety and compliance team members to establish and implement product safety and compliance policies and procedures  


  • Other tasks assigned by Global Product Compliance manager to support the team and business




  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Polymer Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in product regulatory compliance or stewardship in chemical/petrochemical industry.
  • Strong orientation toward daily customer service environment; detail oriented.
  • Excellent oral / written communication and interpersonal skills (Fluency in English is a must)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and to work to tight deadlines and changing priorities
  • Must be self-motivated and comfortable working in a team environment




  • Knowledge and experience in Asia Pacific chemical regulatory requirements including Korea REACH requirements
  • Project management experience
  • Experience working in SAP ERP system and/or SAP EHS (compliance management and SDS authoring tool)
