The Product Manager will own a regional portfolio of Industrial products and Specialty additives for Korea and ensure that products within the portfolio are effectively positioned (good, better, best) to deliver customer value and maximize profitability. The Product Manager will ensure the suitability of the product offering and lifecycle management to achieve the company’s business results through continuing innovation and optimization of the portfolio. This requires the creation and execution of "market based" product strategies resulting in winning value propositions with clear differentiation. Demonstrates leadership and influence by communicating and executing the product strategies with internal and external customers and global stakeholders.




  • Analyze market trends, business needs and identify effective solutions and business impacts.
  • Build up market insights and convert market changes into opportunities for growth.
  • Develop, and implement both long-term and short-term product line strategies to ensure that products within the portfolio are effectively positioned to deliver customer value and maximize profitability.
  • Ensure the appropriateness of the product mix to meet the requirements of customers, applications, and end uses in specified markets, in alignment with the product line goals and business segment objectives.
  • Understand and implement marketing requirements including product positioning, pricing, promotion, and distribution strategies.
  • Build effective relationships with other internal divisions and external groups, especially Korean industrial OEMs’ business.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of the business plan as member of the global Industrial products and Specialty additives business and product management teams.
  • Ensure alignment with Sales, Marketing and global PMG teams on strategy and tactics to successfully implement the business plan in pursuit of growth targets.
  • Align sales objectives with internal stakeholders, coordinate and lead the internal efforts to deliver financial results.
  • May provide tactical product support to target customers and external OEM's with product and services related issues, with the provision of market insight, analytical support and guidance as required.



  • Graduate in a technical or business-related discipline. Bachelor’s degree in chemical / mechanical / automotive engineering or related field preferred.                      
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience. Experiences in commercial is preferable.
  • A successful track record within current role, ideally in practical experience in product management or marketing.                                                                               
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with both internal and external audiences with the ability to build relationships and effectively  implement.                                                                                                                   
  • Proactive and self-motivated with strong sense of ownership; Well organized and principled.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization and business team environment.
  • A creative thinker as it relates to analysis and product positioning.
  • Proficiency with MS Office – PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Able to travel (regionally and potentially globally) up to 25%.


Considered a Plus:

  • Industrial lubricants and additives market, application and/or product knowledge.
  • Experience in product management, marketing, sales, project management, preferably in B2B channels in the performance chemicals, lubricant, or petrochemicals industry.
  • Skilled at market mapping, market analysis and product line profitability analysis.
  • MBA optional.
