Summary of Responsibilities

The Account Manager for Lubrizol LifeSciences is tasked to accelerate the sales growth of Medical Devices and Pharma products in Korea through in-depth understanding of the market, building relationship and understanding the unmet needs of the customers.

 

Essential Job Functions  

  • Lead the sales and market development activities to promote growth of the business for assigned accounts and territories.
  • Foster and grow the appropriate business relationships both internally and externally.
  • Develop and implement aggressive sales plans at the territory and account level.
  • Effectively communicate with internal R&D, Marketing, and Operations group.
  • Liason between customer, legal and marketing to close sales contracts and agreements
  • Create and implement account plans that are well aligned with the business strategy.
  • Comply with administrative requirements (call reports, forecasting, expense reports, etc.).
  • Represent Lubrizol at trade shows, conferences, and at local industry association, demand planning, and regional marketing meetings.
  • Engage closely with Marketing to identify and evaluate new, high value opportunities defining market potential and other supporting factors to build the business cases. 
  • Develop and manage annual territory budget.
  • Grow & manage lead distributor partner and key direct accounts, build exceptional customer relationship.
  • Develop on-going market intelligence and research to provide for the introduction of new products and keep abreast of competition.
  • Work in partnership with the Technical team to service key accounts and to also prospect for new accounts.
  • Work closely with internal team to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Cooperate with team members from other geographies where servicing multinational customers with operations in different parts of the world. 

 

Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or above in Polymer, Medical devices,engineering or other technical  majors.
  • Technical background in engineering
  • More than 5 years sales & marketing experience, engineering or technical service, preferably in contract manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of or experience in medical devices market is a must.
  • Willing and able to travel 50% of the time.
  • Tactical and strategic thinking and business acumen skills.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities and a strong drive for results.
  • Demonstrated successes in implementing new product, solution, technology and value selling programs.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience working  in a matrix organization and exposed to regional or global team will be a plus. Ability to understand global strategy and localize the strategy to regional characteristics. 
  • Proficient in the MS Office tools(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
