HSSE Manager Le Havre


The HSSE Manager is responsible of the application of the company's HSSE policy to the site's management. He/she is responsible for coordinating the actions required to implement this policy and to achieve the HSSE objectives of the company and the Le Havre site.



Within the framework of his mission, the Hygiene Safety and Environment Manager is responsible for the following operations

- To guarantee the application of the Hygiene, Health, Safety and Environment rules and regulations on the Le Havre site and to guarantee compliance with the

- Health, Safety and Environment regulations on the Le Havre site and the regulatory compliance of equipment/facilities/appliances for the Rouen site only

- Ensure the management of waste on the Le Havre site and its removal for destruction or recovery in accordance with the regulations,

- To ensure the safety of persons and property and the respect of the environment during the conduct and realization of the works carried out on the site of Le Havre. As such, he has all powers to:

- To take all measures and actions he deems necessary to proceed to a

- to carry out risk analysis, to issue the necessary permits and authorizations for the

- to carry out the work and to supervise the said work,

- To forbid the execution or the continuation of works if the Hygiene, Health, Safety and Environment conditions are not satisfactory or do not comply with the rules and regulations, in particular but not exclusively with the HSE regulations of the works which must be respected by any company intervening on the site,

- To organize and provide training for all Lubrizol personnel, whether permanent or temporary and temporary employees, as well as for the personnel of external companies, the "Hygiene, Health, Safety and Environment" reception,

- Validate a sufficient level of knowledge during the "Hygiene, Health, Safety and Environment" orientation to ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the rules and regulations applicable on the site.

- Take measures and actions to ensure the permanent availability and adequacy of firefighting and prevention means, explosion, any type of pollution and any natural risk. In this respect, it can, if it so wishes, set up mutual aid agreements with neighbouring industrialists for which it would remain the guarantor of the availability and implementation of the means defined by these agreements.

- To apply and ensure the application of the rules defined in the field of radiation protection. As such, it has specific authority over the personnel authorized to carry out operations in the field of radiation of radiation protection, even though they are not necessarily or directly attached to the directly attached to the Hygiene-Safety-Health-Environment Department.

- Establish action plans to apply any new regulations and follow up on these action plans until these action plans until they are fully implemented,

- Establish plans for verifying applicable regulations, conduct audits and, if necessary, draw up "non-conformity sheets" or "anomaly treatment sheets" to ensure that the Hygiene-Health-Safety-Environment regulations are periodically verified and constantly applied.

- To ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the implementation of projects submitted to it and as such has the authority to invalidate a project that does not comply with the regulations.

- To prepare applications for operating permits or declarations and/or to conduct all studies required by the public authorities.

- At least 2 years’ experience in a technical and management position in a plant

- Knowledge in the company of operational functions

- English: Reference grid of language skills required for the position

- Internal auditor

- In case of lack of specific HSSE skills, the following training will be required

o Legislation on classified installations for the protection of the environment

o Health and Safety, Labour Code

o Risk analysis methods (prevention of major accidents)
