Overall Responsibilities
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will have a key role as the first stop for business leaders and employees concerning their specific HR needs and objectives. This position partners with all levels of management, in a matrixed environment, to ensure HR processes support and align with the leaders’ business goals and objectives. This position blends both strategic and tactical elements of HR. The HRBP will have the opportunity to significantly impact the business and assist top management with executing objectives related to: workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, coaching, culture change/diversity and organizational design initiatives.
Key Accountabilities and responsibilities
- First-line support for the Rockton manufacturing facility as well as a fully-contributing partner with the business unit leaders and key groups/Corporate contacts. This requires an understanding of the business strategy, financial performance, our products, our customers, our industry and our culture/values.
- Manages / oversees plant processes including employee tracking systems (SAP), payroll processing (e-time) and job postings.
- Develops, evaluates and implements new approaches/process changes to effect continual improvements.
- Leads and supports the development of a Workforce Plan within the plant and supports workforce planning for the corporate teams. Identifies talent challenges and proposes plans/initiatives to address gaps. Tracks and identifies trends in people-related data.
- Partners with Talent Development to facilitate leadership and team development programs/learning which support business performance.
- Work with SHRBP on performance and career management. Focus on developing key employees and nurturing the pool of high performers/emerging leaders.
- Consult with the Senior Human Resources Business Partner (SHRBP) and the General Commercial Manager (GCM) / Plant Manager to identify and address root causes of organizational issues, providing comprehensive solutions that support business success.
- Partners with business leaders to ensure effective resolution of emergent issues (employee relations, performance management, etc.). Ensure that leadership is informed and consulted with on issues impacting their teams.
- Work with leadership to expand the diversity of the workforce.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a similar field.
- At least seven (7) to ten (10) years of Generalist experience.
- Strong leadership abilities, sound judgment, strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Knowledgeable of Change Management and Leadership Development processes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, individually and in groups.
- Creative thinker.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and balance numerous priorities in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to work within a team structure and to deal with ambiguity is critical.
- Ability to coach and counsel various levels of employees.
- Strong MS-Office skills; familiarity with SAP HR is preferred.
- Familiarity with ADP payroll, eTime and related reporting is desirable.

- There is no current Supervisory responsibility with this role.
