The Account Manager for Personal Care is tasked to accelerate the sales growth of its area, through in-depth understanding of the market, building relationship and understanding the unmet needs of the customers. 



  • Autonomously maintaining and enhancing the relationship with customers and partners in the region.  
  • Introduce new concepts and products into the market. Develop and implement business and customer plans for the region, preparing and owning budgets and plans for profitable new business growth.
  • Formulate and implement near and long-term strategies to achieve aggressive revenue and profitability targets.
  • Supporting and developing personal care concepts incorporating, Lubrizol, Lipotec and Active organics products together with customers R&D and Marketing teams.
  • Managing the preparation, organization, presentation and follow up of seminars, training, exhibitions, etc.
  • On-going market intelligence to ensure relevant new concepts or products are developed.
  • Staying current on competitors’ activities.
  • Work in partnership with the Technical Support Team to service key accounts and to prospect new accounts.
  • Technical presentation to the customers and articulating their unmet technical needs internally so as to develop a solution.
  • Ensure and maintain business compliance with local laws and regulations and operate within Ethics and HS&E Policies and procedures, participating in training as and when required. 



  • Minimum a Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related discipline 
  • Formal training or experience in cosmetic science will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the personal care market with demonstrated track record.
  • Good understanding of the personal care market.
  • Fluent communication skills (verbal and written) in German and English, any other language is an asset.
  • Strong negotiations and value selling skills
  • Problem-solving skills, ability to work independently.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at different levels.
  • Strong desire to acquire new technical knowledge and learn new things.
  • Adaptability to various cultures.
  • Results oriented
  • Valid car driver’s license is essential.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 60% of the time with a highly flexible schedule.


This is position is home-office based, preferably in Germany.
