This role is accountable for developing and executing regional procedures and processes aligned with global policies and best practices to ensure Lubrizol’s trade regulatory compliance and supervise day-to-day compliance related to the regional trade compliance, lead/support project and acquisition integration. This role is a member of Global Compliance Council.




  • Ensures effective regional compliance organization and develops individual skills and competencies needed to deliver the responsibilities.
  • Audits regional transactions including third party providers
  • Primary contact for regional Customs Authorities and transport government agencies.
  • Monitors trade regulations via a subscription services, government publications and/or trade seminars to keep current knowledge of relevant trade regulations that may impact Global Supply Chain operations.  Interprets and communicates updates to regions and to Global Compliance Director.  
  • Regional trade compliance subject matter expert. 
  • Represents region as team member on Global Compliance Council.
  • Manages regional customs reporting, applications, and documentation requirements.
  • Establish and maintain a governance framework, including but not limited to internal audit, external broker screening and auditing etc.
  • Primary contact for regional Customs Authorities.
  • Initiate and implement the projects to ensure business enjoys the benefit from applicable FTA agreement and duty saving opportunities wherever possible.
  • Own the Customs and Trade related work process and create training programs / materials to promote awareness in the business and integrated supply chain organization.
  • SME for trade compliance related SAP functionalities. Coordinate with IS to further enhance effectiveness and efficiency of current customs management systems to realize governance objectives.




  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • Minimum 5+ years in Regulatory Compliance as subject matter expertise
  • Excellent interpersonal and influence skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Result-driven and willing to work extra miles to pursue excellence
  • Ability to interpret and apply multiple regulatory agency requirements 
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects or activities
  • SAP and SAP GTS
  • Microsoft office proficient
  • Proficient in written and verbal English
