ACCOUNTABILITY:

 

Accountable for the reliable supply of raw materials at the best value (cost, security, competitive advantage) to support LZAM Business Strategy in APAC. (Mainly China, Malaysia, Korea).

Ensure company’s operational needs are met, considering price, quality, service, delivery, sustainability in a compliance way.

 

RESPONSIBILITY

 

The LZAM Raw Material Procurement Manager for APAC responsibilities include leading the Raw Materials sourcing team, to conduct effective Raw Materials sourcing which meet safety, cost, supply, quality and sustainability needs.

 

The LZAM Raw Material Procurement Manager for APAC is also responsible for policy compliance, coordinating procurement activities, develop and supervising procurement staff. Build strong alignment by understanding business and operation needs and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization. Responsibilities shall include but not limited to the following. 

 

  • Develop longer term raw material team roadmap and allocate resources for strong execution

 

  • Establish supplier management system and ensure strong implementation

 

  • Align with global team on KPI design and measure performance to improve team effectiveness

 

  • Define critical raw materials that needs to conduct strategic management in the region and develop longer term strategies

 

  • Work with internal stakeholders on education and compliance with policy and processes

 

  • Approve the ordering of necessary goods as per the approval matrix limit

 

  • Perform risk management and mitigation for key purchases

 

  • Work with other regions for synergy, purchase leverage, work on continuous process improvement and alignment

 

  • Delegate tasks and supervise the work of procurement personnel across the region

 

  • Develop team competencies and build strong pipeline for talents

 

 

REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, Competencies:

 

  1. Education

 

University degree in business, economics, engineering, chemical or related field.

 

  1. Experience

 

Minimum 10 years of working experience in raw material procurement and minimum 5 years in management role, preferably in chemical manufacturing industries.

  1. Knowledge, technical/professional skill:

 

  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
  • Experience in contract negotiation and networking
  • Technically inclined with good knowledge of raw material value chain for chemical industries
  • Aptitude in problem solving and decision-making
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data
  • Strong leadership capabilities

 

  1. Language Skill:

 

Frequent written and oral in Chinese and English language
