ACCOUNTABILITY

The role of Product Manager, Beauty & Home Asia Pacific provides regional product management leadership in support of the regional business needs, ensuring a regional voice in product management, strategic pricing, demand management and quality and business process activities.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages product line profitability, including
    • Providing input into regional product line for regional marketing managers
    • Continuously reviewing product gross margin and developing regional product push lists
    • Developing and implementing strategic price actions aligned with global strategy and regional business priorities
    • Collecting and communicating relevant competitive intelligence information
    • Continuously reviewing NWSM (non-working & slow moving) situation and providing recommendation to improve
    • Conducting product life cycle assessment periodically
  • Drives new product/concept launch with regional marketing managers, including 
    • Providing regional specific product positioning support to marketing teams
    • Providing pricing support to marketing teams
    • Providing new product launch logistic support such as sampling, documentation, initial supplying source etc. to sales teams
    • Providing recommendation and support to MA as needed
    • Managing product localization projects 
    • Coordinating regulatory compliance activities with PSCD group
  • Manages business (demand) and operation (supply) connection, including
    • Acting as primary business product management support contact for regional manufacturing facilities
    • Communicating priorities, issues and status of our supply plans and capabilities to the commercial organization
    • Speaking for the business if product prioritization needs to occur and has the responsibility to get critical information from the business so that we can make the best possible decision on customer priority for available supply
    • Participating regional S&OP (Supply & Operational) meetings and communicate urgent issues to the global product managers
    • Coordinating problem solving regarding quality (e.g. special specification, customer complaint etc.) with supply chain team

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science. Technical discipline preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, product management or supply chain role, experience with SAP including Business Warehouse is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in both written and verbal English
  • Excellent in Excel skills
  • Good understanding of basic financial principles
  • Willing to travel occasionally to meet with the regional commercial, manufacturing and supply chain personnel as well as global platform management team
