Manufacturing Manager

 

COMPANY INFORMATION AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

This position will report to the Paso Robles Plant Manager and will be responsible for overseeing production activities and coordination between manufacturing and other departments. The goals of this position are to improve safety, decrease costs, and improve productivity within all facets of manufacturing. This person will own all manufacturing procedures, drawings, as well as implementation of the production plans for the Paso Robles facility.

 

Other duties include:

  • Lead and exemplify a culture where ‘safety is a core value’ is a true belief and ensure safety accountability across the organization
  • Oversee operating budget for production
  • Partner with supply chain and logistics to meet customer demand and raw material needs
  • Manage hazardous material inventories and events
  • Train and supervise production leads
  • Be an active participant in the development and engagement of production leads
  • Create production schedule for the week
  • Manage SAP for recipes and BoM’s
  • Work with engineering team on capital projects
  • Oversee implementation of lean manufacturing principles in manufacturing
  • Install and maintain diligent core problem solving atmosphere
  • Maintains a proficient working knowledge of the codes and standards that apply to Paso Robles operations, including but not limited to OSHA, cGMP, ISO, RCMS, and EPA standards
  • Participate in plant safety functions including but not limited to PSSRs, PHAs, and Hazard Assessments
  • Follow Q7 GMP guidelines, SOP’s, and other stated requirements for handling active pharmaceutical ingredients (API’s)
  • Other duties as required and directed by the Plant Manager

 

REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or similar field
  • Previous plant experience plus manufacturing supervisory/managerial experience of minimum years
  • SAP experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot processes, define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions
  • Ability to build and maintain environment encouraging teamwork and positive attitudes
