Mechanical Integrity Reliability Engineer:

The Reliability Engineer/Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of processes, systems and equipment while meeting all safety, environmental, and quality objectives. The Reliability Engineer/Supervisor must interact effectively at all levels of the organization as a technical resource that provides engineering assistance for equipment (rotating, fixed, electrical, or instrumentation). The Reliability Engineer/Supervisor may also have direct reports to supervise ranging from maintenance to administrative roles.

 

What you will do:

• Systematically review and implement long term solutions to improve the reliability of plant equipment and eliminate unscheduled downtime.

• Develop and coordinate the administration for the plant preventive maintenance program, including the control of all data and the specification for the content and frequencies of work and inspections. Properly measure, test and analyze equipment condition and develop an appropriate preventative maintenance schedule to reduce premature equipment failures.

• Develop engineering solutions to maintenance problems, including ways of reducing or eliminating the need for maintenance through equipment replacement or improvement work.

• Assists with definitions and tracking of Key Performance Indicators for site equipment and maintenance teams.

• Coordinates with plant and production engineers in analyzing equipment maintenance problems, project work and determining solutions.

• Analyzes the effects of preventive maintenance on equipment reliability and maintenance costs for evaluation as a basis for equipment design decisions.

• Prepares cost estimates and appropriation requests as necessary for maintenance engineering work and prepares special reports as required.

• Assists in updating drawings and maintenance data, coordinating this effort with Plant Engineering and Production Engineers.

• Maintains Asset Services plant equipment records.

• Provide training to mechanics and / or operators as necessary to ensure that reliability is factored into daily tasks.

• Review code and engineering standards related to project design requirements.

• Identify opportunities and implement solutions which lead to equipment and process emprovements.

• Liaison between Mechanical Maintenance and Project Engineering in the development, design and installation of capital projects. 

• Assists in coordinating the activities of outside contractors as appropriate to maintenance engineering objectives.

• Supervise employees as assigned. o This will include daily supervision as well as annual reviews and career development

 

What you need:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a chemical plant environment.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience with SAP, MS Office, MS Projects or similar software.

• Ability to self-direct and work well within a team.

 

What will put you ahead:

• Formal training or equivalent experience in the use of Reliability Centered Maintenance techniques.

• Experience with SAP and AutoCAD. • Experience with DeltaV instrument fieldbus networks such as Foundation Fieldbus, ASi, and DeviceNet.

• Prior supervisory experience Working Conditions:

• Overhead lifting up to 10 pounds; lifting to waist up to 25 pounds.

• Work is performed within a controlled environment; noise levels in some areas require hearing protection.

• Willing/able to work in plant (inclement weather
