Title                 :         Strategic Marketing Manager

Location         :         Vikhroli (Mumbai)

Reporting to   :        Senior Business Director Lubrizol LifeSciences (Health) & Strategic Marketing & New Business Development)

 

PURPOSE: In conjunction with the South Asia Leadership Team (SALT) drive the growth strategy, identify new high growth sectors in the region for the company’s products. Provide support to the leadership on design, project management and implementation of various strategic  initiatives to strengthen the organization.

 

 RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:

To develop the strategy for Growth trajectory in the region along with SALT

Strategy & Marketing Research:

  • Develop strategies that leverage the core capabilities and competencies of the company
  • Identify and integrate organizational strategies to achieve and sustain competitive advantage.
  • Develop responses to key competitor actions and threats.
  • Develop strategies that position the business to shape and capitalize on emerging customer and market needs.
  • Identify critical goals and success factors for the business that are clearly linked to shareholder value.
  • Shift the strategic direction of the organization when appropriate.
  • Advise management on future business opportunities not limited to strategic alliances, M&As, JVs, partnerships, etc.
  • Responsible for the overall LZAM 5-year projections and proposal of the strategic direction. 

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with Global organization (BUs & Corporate Functions) for consumer insights & market intelligence
  • Lead the strategy in partnership with SALT for Geographic expansion in the region

Project Management:

  • Support the business to strengthen their existing business growth strategies.
  • Converting external trends into business cases and taken them through a vetted process in the organization.
  • Facilitate the execution of the strategic initiatives identified along with the business & ensure closure to drive the business results
  • Represent LZAM through press releases, industry events, and speaking engagements.
  • Partner with the Marcom teams of the business to ensure brand differentiation of products to win at the marketplace

 

REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

  • Technical Degree plus an MBA with specialization in Strategic Marketing will be an added advantage
  • 5-10 years in Business Strategy & Marketing in a multi-cultural matrix environment will be an added advantage.
  • Solid experience in development of strategic plans & implementation of them.
  • Deep understanding of the South Asia geography, trends and business practices.
  • Candidate must have executive presence with excellent presentation skills to deliver programs for diverse audiences.
  • Effective marketing skills with strong understanding of brand management, communication etc

About Us: LZAM South Asia is headquartered in Mumbai where we also house our application labs for Lubrizol’s LifeScience and Performance Coatings groups. We have regional office based at Delhi. The CPVC compounding plant is located at Dahej, Gujrat.
