Job Description

 

Job Title:                     Market Segment Manager – Personal & Home Care, South Asia and Middle East

Division:                      Lubrizol Advanced Materials

Reports To:                 Business Director – Personal & Home Care - South Asia and Middle East

 

Summary of Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for identification and development of growth opportunities in the focused market segment & allows the business to be a frontier in the market against competition. The role is also responsible for profit growth in the market segment and developing marketshare in the segment.

 

Essential Job Functions  

 

           Market Research and Development

  • Develop a deeper market understanding of PHC market / business
  • Analyze markets / segments, market trends and make recommendations concerning product strategy
  • Identifying New markets for growth in relevant segments and work closely with internal and external stake holders through stage gate process and develop / launch suitable products.
  • Identify value added opportunities, trends, unmet needs and develop differentiated innovation project to drive growth in this segment.

     

    Strategic Marketing

  • Build and implement strategic growth plans and determine the customer value proposition model based on market segment.
  • Assure that marketing strategies are consistent with the overall related business strategy. 

                                               

           Product Management

  • Promote and develop value creation / selling culture within the commercial team and distribution channels.
  • Cooperate closely with Commercial team to introduce new conecpts and products to the market.

     

    Customer Focus

  • Develop strong relationships with customers to better understand customer needs and market dynamics as well as maintaining Lubrizol’s scientific image. 
  • Build, develop and strengthen new relationships for better market growth and share for the business
  • Define and refine key strategic customers and establish strong collaborative relationships.

     

    Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:

  • Minimum B.Tech/M.tech - Cosmetics/Chemical with MBA in Marketing with relevant experience in Personal Care / Chemical Industry
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in relevant field
  • Previous experience working in a similar role.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
