Title               :                  Market Development Manager – PCG, South Asia

Reports To    :                  Business Director, PCG-South Asia 

Location        :                  Mumbai (Vikhroli)         

 

Summary of the Role:

Lead Market  development activities in Hyperdispersant, Surface Modifiers, Resins and Polymers areas. Accountable for new customers & existing customers, new applications development, existing product new applications development , market & competition data assimilation to ascertain Lubrizol's market position and drive the organization to a sustained market leader position within the Paints, Coatings, Inks and Adhesives market segments in India. Establish customer accounts or prospects in the Resin & polymer Platform in South Asia region within the designated geographic territory.

 

Key Activities

  • Implement  market development strategy & activities for Hyperdispersant, Surface Modifiers, Resins and Polymers platforms through value creation approach to customers.
  • Build in a pipeline of relevant opportunities for PCG South Asia.
  • Lead market development in terms of identification , management and growth of all avenues through which business opportunities could be maximized and is expected to augment the business through various value creation and market driven activities
  • Establish the sales & market development strategy for Resin and Polymer Platform in South Asia region in order to identify the value-added opportunities and develop differentiated innovation projects to drive growth.
  • Responsible for the budget numbers of Resin & Polymer platform for both direct customers & distributor.
  • Responsible for market research and market development, to explore / exploit opportunities.
  • Liase with technical teams internally to work on innovation projects. Cooperates closely with Sales to introduce new concepts and products to the market.

 

Responsibilities:   

  • Provide market information on existing/ prospective customers of the given territory.
  • Achieve the Marketing goals for business growth and align the sales strategy with organization strategy.
  • Achieve growth and develop business and preempt market requirement so as to provide relevant solutions.
  • Foster and grow the appropriate business relationships both internally and externally
  • Follow up and handling of customer complaints in co-operation with logistics group for Resins and Polymers
  • Gather customer needs through VOC interviews.

 

Requirements (education, experience, competencies and specific job requirements):

Education / Certification:

  • Minimum B. Tech Chemical technology /Chemistry/ applied sciences /with focus on paints pigments Inks and varnishes.
  • Post Graduate qualification preferred .

 

Experience and Skills:  

  • Minimum 12 to 15  years of relevant industry experience.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role with sales experience will be an added advantage.
  • Skillset of negotiation, influencing and strategic thinking will be an added advantage
