This position is responsible for managing specific customer accounts for the Refrigeration and Industrial product segments.

 

Responsibilities

  • Understand the overall business, customers and products and technology as well as competitors and drivers for the product market.
  • Manage all commercial aspects and technical product portfolio for the assigned Bronze customer accounts.
  • Provide leadership in developing short and long-term strategies to maintain current customers and grow business to meet or exceed plan.

 

Customer Support

  • Provide leadership and manage the assigned customer base.
  • Manage customer’s service expectations in line with business service standards.
  • Manage product level pricing and implement price changes increases for assigned accounts to ensure that plan expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Utilize SAP and Vendavo Price Management System, providing assistance to Sales team members as needed.
  • Work internally with SAP team (CMIR, etc.), customer service, finance (credit establishment), and customer service to ensure that customer expectations are met, or new customers are set up.
  • Support Sales team with Material Master Data Request submissions and Label Master Data Request submissions for private label setups/changes at Strategic Accounts 
  • Develop innovative ways to work efficiently and/or to manage customers.
  • Collaborate with Sales Team to bring visibility to customers which may have potential for growth and strategic account management.

 

Technical Support

  • Understand the product line and provide basic technical support, elevating to TAS as needed.
  • Lead liaison between customers and the CPI organization for customer issues.
  • Work with the technical and Product Management teams to define and prioritize technical/product projects.
  • Provide lubricant recommendation through dilution calculator as needed

 

Organizational Responsibilities

  • Act as the champion for the assigned customers.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of CPI Quality systems, policies, and organization.
  • Actively attend and participate in sales and technical meetings as requested.
  • Abide by Lubrizol legal and ethical guidelines.

 

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

  • BS degree in chemistry or a non-technical degree with relevant commercial experience.
  • Minimum three years of experience in a sales or technical commercial role.
  • Technical and/or sales background in specialty chemicals or lubricants.
  • Ability to manage multiple small volume customers in fast paced environment
  • Computer skills including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint; knowledge of SAP and Vendavo pricing management systems is a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Limited travel (<10%) within the United States may be required on occasion
  • Requires use of appropriate PPE, Personal Protective Equipment, to fulfill safety requirements.
