Market Development Manager- Fire Protection, EMEA

 

Lubrizol are looking to recruit an experience Market Development Manager for Temp- Rite Fire Protection. 

 

The successful candidate will own the development and execution of a 5-year business strategy with P&L responsibility. They will propose, develop, and implement marketing plans for Temp Rite as well as taking responsibility for product promotion, analysis of market and customer needs, brand management and other selling support to grow the Fire Protection market segment across EMEA

 

In this role the successful candidate will:

  • Develop a deep market understanding of the Fire market and its sub-segments. Work closely with key Customers, influencers and stakeholders in the value chain to identify growth opportunities and innovation projects.
  • Drive growth of our brand ‘BlazeMaster’ in multifamily residential buildings across Europe. Spread awareness of BlazeMaster through communications campaigns and stakeholder engagement programs. Focus on growing BlazeMaster CPVC vs. competitive plastics and metals
  • Understand market trends and manage opportunities for customers in a proactive manner by understanding the customers’ needs and business.
  • Identify and analyze target markets through value and opportunity analysis; take ownership to develop target markets.
  • Identify gaps in our current capabilities and develop action plans to address them. 
  • Closely monitor sprinkler codes and standards and adjust product and market strategy accordingly
  • Compliance focus in EMEA. Making sure we are adhering to / getting our product listed/approved to meet requisite environmental standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Identify key customers and establish strong, collaborative relationships.  Evaluate existing and potential customers for strategic fit to achieve business goals.
  • Market analysis and intelligence. Recommend strategies and actions to maintain market leadership
  • Cross-functional interaction across the organization with the Global and Regional Marketing, Sales, Account Management, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Legal teams and along direct and indirect external customer groups.

 

To be successful you will have:

  • A deep knowledge and understanding of the building construction industry
  • Fire Protection industry experience is a strong plus
  • Bachelor’s degree – Technical or Engineering Degree an MBA is a plus
  • Strong skills in market analysis, positioning strategy.
  • Extensive experience of marketing or sales, and/or business development experience strongly preferred.
  • Successful leadership of cross-functional project teams.
  • Commercial development acumen including: value chain analysis, competitive analysis, definition of value proposition, marketing positioning, and financial modelling.
  • To be able to travel 30-40%.
  • High competence in developing and implementing strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
