Product Manager | Industrial Business Development

 

 

The Product Manager is a member of the Industrial Business Development team with the responsibilities for identifying and analyzing viable opportunities and projects for transformational growth, creating and enhancing the Value Propositions to win in current and future markets.

 

The successful candidate will oversee the conception, analysis and implementation of internal projects for all the business development managers Operating mostly in the 18-60 months horizon and will support the development of marketing plans, encompassing the development of meaningful value propositions, segmentation, value chain analysis, geographical and segment participation strategies, the analysis and assessment of Lubrizol’s competitive strengths and challenges, evaluating the capabilities of the competition, reviewing the global market to determine and anticipate customer needs and determining, in collaboration with Lubrizol's technology group, improved and new product offerings.

 

Accountable for developing marketing projects to support Industrial growth in current and future markets in support of LZA Industrial UOI growth targets. 

 

The successful candidate will

  • Build business models, value propositions, and prototypes that lead to sustainable competitive advantages and UOI growth
  • Oversee the conception, analysis, and implementation of internal projects for all the business development managers
  • Development and implementation of internal and external processes and systems that deliver efficient and effective results to our business
  • Constantly scan the environment, analyzing industry trends and assessing business impact 
  • Manage high-impact, global market research projects. Identifying end user needs and unmet market opportunities through a lead-user analysis methodology
  • Provide analysis and interpretation of research to the stakeholders to highlight impacts to the business and the opportunities/threats presented
  • Work in close partnership with the Sales Team and the Global OEM liaison to develop and maintain a robust front-end innovation pipeline based on end-users and customers’ needs
  • Collaborate with Industrial M&A team to evaluate new markets, profile target companies and participate in due diligence activity.

  • Creative thinker who can understand competitive landscape and core competencies of our company to develop sustainable and differentiated strategies
  • Familiarity with the Marketing Plan Process in a B2B environment

 

To be successful you will have: 

  • A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing/ Business Administration/Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or engineering related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of prior experience in combination of Sales, Strategic Marketing, or Product Management roles in a global business.
