The Lubrizol Corporation is looking for a highly motivated Chemical Engineering student to complete the Production Internship at our Gastonia, OH facility this upcoming Fall 2021 semester.

 

What would you be doing this term?

While working in Gastonia’s manufacturing facility, you will operate as an acrylic manufacturing engineer, assisting the area engineers to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations and continued upkeep and standardization of the facility. You will also work on a wide variety of process improvement projects including: process optimization, safety improvements, new equipment start-up, and energy monitoring and improvements that will help the company by increasing capacity, improving processing, and reducing operating costs. You may also get involved in the capital project process which may include: equipment or control system design, project estimation, installation, and start-up. This assignment will expose you to a wide variety of projects that will develop your troubleshooting and problem-solving skills while applying the knowledge you have learned in the classroom.

Who are we looking for?

  • Students currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.

  • Students with GPA > 3.0 will be given priority consideration.
