POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Facilities Management - Managerr is primarily responsible for the operation of the facility and equipment support to Operations.  This includes coordinating building repair, janitorial and landscaping services and managing the Preventive Maintenance and Calibration programs.

 

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Manage the facilities staff of both direct and contract employees.
  • Coordinate all building repair (interior/exterior), janitorial, landscaping and vendor related services.
  • Responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, resource assignment and completion of preventive maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and electronic equipment including: chillers, compressors, air handling units, fire suppression/alarm systems, and all other capital equipment.
  • Responsible for timely inspection, response, troubleshooting and routine repair of all capital equipment.
  • Responsible for identification, procurement, storage and upkeep of all critical spare parts for building systems that may impact manufacturing and possess extended procurement lead time.
  • Facilitate the movement of equipment and furniture for any relocation or reconfiguration.
  • Provide input and support for validation and qualification (IQ) protocols for equipment.
  • Manage and maintain the Preventive Maintenance and Calibration programs.
  • Identify, assign, install and maintain Lubrizol property numbering system for all Vesta-owned equipment, such as molds, fixtures, testers, gauges and machinery.
  • Support maintenance personnel in resolving facilities and equipment problems using systematic methods of troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and irreversible corrective action.
  • Supervise and direct calibration technicians.
  • Generate, update and implement process documentation related to PM, Calibration and Maintenance
  • Complete projects and report status in a timely manner.
  • Close assigned CAPA’s in a timely manner.
  • Understand and follow the SOP’s pertaining to the specific area.
  • Understand and follow the Work Instructions pertaining to the specific area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

DESCRIPTION OF MARGINAL DUTIES:

  • Observe and promote Company standards and policies on safety, quality and productivity
  • .Participate in Kaizen and other cross-functional team events.
  • Assist the safety team with facilities and equipment related issues.

  • Calibration Technician(s)
  • Maintenance Technician(s)

 

 

HIRING GUIDELINES: (To perform job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required/preferred).

  • Successful completion of four-years of high school, or equivalent, plus completion of four years of college with a bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus in preventive maintenance and calibration or five plus years of experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Prior facilities supervisor experience
  • Experience managing contractors
  • First Aid/CPR certified (preferred)
