Job Summary:
The Director of Supply Chain will have responsibility for providing comprehensive supply chain leadership and support to operations, plant with a strong focus on planning and scheduling, strategic sourcing and supply supplier relationship management. Provide direction and leadership to assure that supply chain operations’ strategies address safety, quality, business outcome and cost control. This position plays a key leadership role in implementing and driving a sales and operations planning approach that enable the company to meet or exceed customer demand with speed and efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise departments and activities including customer service, planning and scheduling, shipping and receiving and inventory management to ensure efficiency and industry best practices
- Create and foster high performance culture, focused on engagement, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
- Identify and drive process improvement initiatives as well as develop and foster a continuous improvement culture that drives projects and delivers results
- Maximize our ability to efficiently satisfy and exceed customer expectations and deliver outstanding value by designing and implementing an end-to-end value chain design, including customer segmentation, product and supply chain design
- Optimize use of the ERP system for data management and planning and scheduling processes to drive decision making and best use of resources
- Design and implement supply chain demand processes that support business manufacturing and distribution strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, and cost reduction initiatives
- Monitors key Sales and Operations Planning performance indicators, and coordinate cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives
- Establish and report on metrics to manage KPIs and drive the right behavior, and processes that deliver product availability at the lowest possible cost and working capital levels
- Drive innovation and focus for continuing improvement of established suppliers, and development of new suppliers and processes to achieve the best quality, reliability, prices, continuity and delivery
- Responsible for identifying potential issues in the supply and communicating to management and for working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and suppliers to find and implement solutions
- Develops and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes.

Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 10 years’ experience within supply chain, operations or logistics discipline in a manufacturing environment, minimum 3 years of experience in a medical device environment
- 10 years of experience in leadership positions of increasing responsibility in supply chain, planning and purchasing
- Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex business problems through fact gathering, business process mapping and data analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication, project management, negotiation and organization skills
- Strong client service and relationship building skills
