The Facilities Protection Coordinator works with the Facilities Protection group (fixed protection / Emergency Response) for the Lubrizol Texas Plants of Deer Park and Bayport to ensure department compliance and response readiness.


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities


  1. Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Facilities Protection office including maintaining office supplies, scheduling, data entry, maintaining all FPD related files and associated Facilities Protection archives, training record review, training record data entry, spreadsheet management, certification tracking/scheduling and other training documentation systems. Assist with ERT SharePoint site management.


  1. Assist Facilities Protection Technicians with scheduling, inspection, and maintenance tracking of plant fire protection assets. Assist with emergency response training logistics.


  1. Process billing for services rendered to the Facilities Protection Department:
    • Advanced SAP user
    •  Purchase Requisition entries, troubleshooting and processing
    • Assure vendor invoice accuracy and corrections
    • Contractor/Employee badge processing into SAP
    • Maintain department credit cards, all associated billing and expense reports
    • Maintain all registration accounts for emergency response vehicles
    • Managing all department dues and membership requirement needs


  1. Assist with department SOP’s and other SOG’s to include assistance with response and ERP procedures and guideline updates. Participates in audits for the department and assists with providing any needed follow-up on audit findings. Maintains non-conformance data-base and performs quarterly reviews.


  1. Support Emergency Response by coordinating response equipment replacement and recuperation of supplies through work orders generated from incidents on site.  
  2. Assist with severe weather processes – coordinate logistics and maintain inventory of all supply stocks needed by ride-out teams for DP and BP.


Education / Certification


High school graduate, college degree preferred. On-the-job training of the various Lubrizol systems will be required.


Experience and Skills


Experience in emergency response / security plant operations administration is preferred. Advanced use of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. SAP experience is a must.


Supervisory Responsibility


The Facilities Protection Coordinator position has no direct reports.


Empowerment & Decision Making


The Facilities Protection Coordinator position is occasionally required to make operational decisions related to department day-to-day operations with input as needed from the Facilities Protection / Security Superintendents.
