Manager - Procurement

Summary of the Role:-

• Responsible for managing procurement function ESS Activities (Equipment, Supplies and Services). Overall site indirect & CAPEX procurement – Effective plant uninterrupted operations.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:  

• Manage the Site ESS Procurement function within SAP- working along the Corporate Sourcing guidelines and procedures.

• Obtain quotations- Preparing and maintaining of purchase orders--Releasing POs, follow up with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
• Resolve supply, quality, service and invoice related issues with Vendors – Link between company and supplier.
• Explore Cost saving technique/Identify alternate vendors sourcing to mitigate risk & reduce cost.
• Contractor /Service provider sourcing: Emphasis on Safety Criteria/records/Due Diligence.
• Ensure legal terms and conditions adherence by vendors/contractors/service providers.
• Manage Site CAPEX Project procurement activity. (As and when Need arises).
• Analyze, guide and present overall trends of purchase.
• Explore and implement new processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of procurement.
• Coordination and resolve problems with end user departments and suppliers.
• Communicate Timely status order to internal stakeholders.
• Strong Focus on to meet laid down Procurement KPI’s and Site KPI’s.
• Regular Periodical review of open orders/Requisitions – Plan action accordingly
• Represent Procurement Function during various site Audits / functional Compliance.
• Manage ongoing relationship with supplier, vendor, contractors to ensure satisfactory results.
• Support Local Raw Material procurement (On need based basis).

Requirements (education, experience, competencies and specific job requirements):

Education / Certification:

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
• Post-graduation in management qualification will be an added advantage.

Experience and Skills:  

• Minimum 15 years of Procurement experience, preferred with a multinational company.
• Exposure of End-to-End process: Procurement to Payment.
• Sound Technical Knowledge of Industry Spare parts.
• Problem-solving approach
• Techno-commercial expertise
