Job Description


Position:          Assistant Manager - Process & QA/QC

Location:         Dahej, TempRite Compounding plant

Reports to:      Site Head, Dahej Site

Division:          Lubrizol Advanced Materials



Provide leadership for process engineering & quality function at the Dahej CPVC compounding facility. 

Roles and Responsibilities: As mentioned below





Process Engineering & Improvement Projects 




To execute this area of responsibility, the role is expected to Plan, Lead & Identifies current and future Admin and IR services, required resources and processes requirement of an organization to achieve its goals. Some activities and area where incumbent need to contribute are:


Drive planning for logical process improvements in current and new processes and implement in collaborative way


Quantitative - No of project drive throughout year 


Lead & co-ordinate for Design Basis & Calculations, Process Description, Control Scheme- interlocks and their valve matrix, PFD's with material and heat balance details for inhouse projects


Qualitative: Observed by smooth working of implemented projects/modifications  


Directly involved in development & finalization of technical specification for the new Capital equipment’s on site.



Quantitative - No of Equipment / parts specification prepared & finalized  


Interact & work in close coordination with process R&D and Corporate Operations group for sharing information, & interpretation of data & observations, related to new process, & current plant operations.



Qualitative: Monitor feedback received from global counter parts & Involvement in global drives


Achieve quality assurance & control operational objectives by identifying and resolving problems, completing audits, and determining system improvements.



Quantitative: Observed by no of non-compliance, Non-conformity in year


Review on quality report on daily basis and analyze them & prepare action plan for improvement.



Qualitative: Observed by day today working & interaction among team & internal customer.


Drive the training programme related to quality awareness & ensure the very stable, quality conscious workforce maintain in department


Quantitative – Observed by quality culture with in organization & no of training conduct


Maintain strict quality control standards. Has know-how about ISO standards specifically 9001:2015 & NSF product certifications. And be a management representative to lead all activities related to QMS with in Organization.



Quantitative: Observed by no of non-compliance, Non-conformity in year


Registration of Quality Events timely as per the approved procedures & review of Investigation reports for data furnished for correctness of statements, evidence-based review and ensure no errors in the data and conclusions derived.



Qualitative: Observed by day today working & interaction among team & internal customer.


review of CAPA for effectiveness and negative impact and ensure closure in time for non-conformities, customer complaints etc.

Education:                   Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from a reputed university

Experience level:         Total 8-10 years with relevant experience in Manufacturing & Process  

Engineering in Dahej/surrounding area and minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Process Engineering.


Competencies and Knowledge:

  • Computer Skills: MS Office, SAP.
  • Good in analytical skill & interpretation
  • Well versed with statics tool use for improvement
  • Can demonstrate stability and seek long term career
