We currently have career opportunity for a Technical Service Engineer in our Brecksville, OH facility supporting our TempRite® Technical Service group. Candidate must have strong technical experience with plastics processing.


What you will do:

  • Provide technical guidance on processing our CPVC compounds to existing and new customers.
  • Review and provide recommendations to customers on equipment, and tooling for extrusion and injection molding process, to effectively process the compounds for their specific markets.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints associated with processing of our compounds. This requires understanding basic analytical methods.
  • Work in a team environment to support Temprite R&D projects. This requires running processing equipment in our lab, with follow up material trials at customers’ facilities.
  • Have a working understanding of the industry standards (i.e. ASTM, ISO) that apply to our materials and their end use in the respective products.
  • Work with sales, marketing, and segment leaders to achieve the goals of the Business Unit. 
  • Provide technical data, reports, and communications regarding customer’s status or issues. Report testing results in research database system of R&D work.
  • The position requires both domestic and global travel for customer visits and internal business unit meetings, of approximately 25-50% of the time, dictated by projects. Including managing all expenses related to the position and travel.


What you need:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Plastics, or Chemical) with 3 or more years OR in lieu of degree, experience of 8 years or more is required.
  • Must have plastics processing experience in injection molding and/or extrusion process.
  • The ability to communicate with external customers.
  • Problem solving skills, mechanical aptitude, with the ability to Interpret/comprehend blueprints and engineering drawings.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in technical/engineering position—supervising, and problem solving.
  • Previous experience in a Technical Service position with polymer processing.
  • Advanced technical training.
  • Mechanical/engineering background using CAD/CAM.
  • Ability to use a second language preferably in Spanish.
