Role Summary:

As a Regulatory Toxicologist, you will help generate data to substantiate the safety of products globally – by performing regulatory toxicology assessments, interpreting global requirements and ensuring our products are safe and our product claims are valid, prior to product launch.  This position requires knowledge of toxicology principles and involves application of Lubrizol chemistry knowledge to the requirements of evolving global chemical control laws and product safety assessments. This is a 1 year assignment with a possible 2nd year extension.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Support a team of toxicologists in overseeing human, environmental, and physical chemical testing projects with 3rd party laboratories including assessment of new data to meet regulatory reporting obligations
  • Help analyze and interpret test results in preparation for submission to regulatory agencies globally
  • Contribute to the development and execution of product defense strategies using toxicology, chemistry, and other scientific disciplines


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Toxicology Expert – PhD  in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Industrial or Environmental Health Sciences, or related biological science discipline with an emphasis in Toxicology
  • Sound understanding of toxicology principles/practices and the scientific basis for toxicity testing
  • Strong Interest in learning how to design, monitor and interpret data from human health and environmental toxicology testing programs to evaluate and assess risks
  • Strong interest in learning regulatory and data requirements for global new chemical notification dossiers as well as regulatory initiatives including EU REACH
