The Logistics Supervisor manages daily activity of the Warehouse Operators and Packer/Warehouse Relief Operator to ensure their compliance to the specific job requirements as related to Safety, Environmental, Housekeeping, Product Quality and Productivity.  This position coordinates daily freight movements, raw material deliveries and provides support to our vendors as well as our internal and external customers. This position coordinates and ensures efficient and cost effective transportation services in order to guarantee critical delivery deadlines and customer requirements.




  • Provides supervision for Warehouse Operators and Packer/Warehouse Relief Operator. Exhibits positive behaviors and engagement, timely and informed decisions, and administers counseling /disciplinary action as required.
  • Coordinator/Trainer of Warehouse Operator training.
  • Conduct Leader Standard Work Safety Conversations with hourly employees.
  • Review and update Warehouse Procedures.
  • Conduct housekeeping inspections of the warehouse checklists.
  • Schedules overtime and ensures it is covered in a cost-effective manner.
  • Discuss and plan maintenance with the Maintenance Manager.
  • Create purchase orders for stores, services, hard goods, and raw materials.
  • Schedule bulk raw material deliveries.
  • Create new stock items, review inventory and identify Non-Working / Slow-Moving for Stores.
  • Backup for Storeroom Clerk as needed.
  • Process price corrections to purchase orders received from suppliers
  • Collaborate with staff to set up new vendors
  • Inspect hazard/non hazard waste prior to shipment
  • Backhaul finished goods and raw materials as needed from the contract warehouse
  • Review open orders report monthly for Calvert City
  • Troubleshoot blocked invoices weekly
  • Manage inventories: raw materials (monthly), packaging (monthly), Finished Goods Warehouse. (annually), and storeroom (4th quarter)
  • Manage Talon trucks to/from Calvert City
  • Communicate with freight carriers to schedule shipments
  • Maintain carrier relationships and identify carrier capabilities
  • Processing bill of ladings (BOL)
  • Process shipments using UPS, FedEx, and DHL
  • Process customer TBD shipments via communication process from start to finish
  • Monitor inventory of shipping supplies and maintain organization of department
  • Accountability and Decision Making:

  • RCMS / HSES Goals for Individual:
  • Adhere to all RCMS and HSES procedures and practices to insure compliance with federal and state regulations and company policies
  • Report all accidents, injuries, spills, releases and near misses immediately to the Supervisor or HSES Department.  Safety suggestions should also be reported.
  • Attend at least one safety meeting per month and complete any assigned RCMS/HSES training in the month scheduled with a passing score.
  • GMP Goals for Individual:
    • Comply with ISO 9001:2015/GMP Quality System
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager





  • Four year degree or equivalent experience
  • Must be proficient in Excel and Word
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
  • Must have strong work ethic, professional attitude, and be detailed oriented as well as reliable
  • Ability to multitask many projects at once
  • Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done
  • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills
  • Must be able to perform in a people-leadership role, with the ability and commitment to lead by work and example
  • Two (2) years of Procurement experience preferred
