Summary of Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of the role is to ensure that safety, security, maintenance, risk management, cost, and service level to corporate groups meets targets and are continuously improved at the Brecksville, Ohio Lubrizol Advanced Materials (LZAM) division headquarters site.
Accountability Statements:
- Ensure safe and responsible operations at the Brecksville site and protect the companies’ employees and reputation.
- Ensure infrastructure, risk, and reliability practices enable highly available and effective research, testing, and administration activities.
- Operate the site at targeted cost and investment, and continuously improve cost and service level.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure that the site is operated in a way that retains an outstanding corporate reputation in the Northeast Ohio community.
- Directly manage the site services team (HSES, engineering, facilities, maintenance, shipping and receiving) and all service contractors.
- Responsible for all safety and risk related outcomes on the Brecksville site.
- Responsible for the site operations budget and expense management, and facilities capital budget and capital project execution.
- Responsible to work with and influence other corporate business and functional leaders (typically VP level and one level down) to effect common safety and operational practices across the site and to achieve targeted outcomes.
- Ensure that the site infrastructure and security plans enable protection of employees and critical corporate physical and intellectual assets, as well as meeting targeted uptime and recovery time targets for delivery of critical corporate services (IT, Research, and otherwise).
- Ensure that an ethical, accountable, and inclusive culture exists at the Brecksville headquarters site.
- Develop your organization and the individuals under your direct management.
- Work with the Wickliffe site leader to share best practices and identify and deliver synergy-based improvements and savings.
Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Physical Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or technical field (any science or engineering).
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in managing; people, safety, budgeting, project, vendor, and cost management.
- Experience in Facilities Management and Maintenance, Capital budgeting and project execution.
- Demonstrated success building relationships, influencing, aligning, and delivering results within a matrix organization.
- Self-motivated, fast learning, high energy, high integrity.
- Experience in community relations and collaboration is a plus.
