North America Logistics Procurement Manager

Summary of Responsibilities:

North America Logistics Procurement Manager would have the daily responsibility to work with Freight Forwarders and Dray Carriers to improve Lubrizol’s export reliability.

Essential Job Functions:

• Manage Lubrizol’s North America freight forwarders and dray carriers
• Responsible for competitive bidding and pricing activities for Lubrizol’s North America freight forwarders and dray carriers
• Contracting of freight forwarders and dray carriers and lead their integration activities
• Conduct reoccurring team meetings
• Maintain scorecards to be utilized at vendor reviews 
• Monitor that freight forwarder reporting requirements have been completed
• Assist with visibility tool to improve accuracy by monitoring carrier compliance
• Work closely with Lubrizol transportation operations teams
• Monitor export shipments to ensure superior service
• Provide monthly shipment reporting
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, and stakeholders, to develop improvement opportunities
• Incorporate the overall company priorities of Safety, Operational Excellence and Cyber Security into all initiatives and work activities undertaken.
• Provide timely and high-quality response to requests and feedback from internal and external customers

Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics/Supply Chain, or other related fields; extensive experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Minimum of 5 years of Logistics operations/procurement experience
• Minimum of 3 years of North America export logistics experience
• Prior experience managing freight forwarders and dray carriers
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, ability to prioritize, organize, and follow through is critical
• Must possess superior interpersonal skills and professionalism.  This position will interface with internal team members and external customer and business partners on a regular basis.
• Working knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Office software programs -- cannot be intimidated by technology
• Enthusiastic, diplomatic, and possess excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

Considered a plus:

• SAP/S4 experience
• ACE System.
