Summary of Responsibilities


The Lubrizol Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Global Product/Project Manager within the Estane® Engineered Polymers business.  The global product manager role will be responsible for supporting the Estane Engineered Polymer product management activities, with a focus on project management of global regulatory projects, as well as other project related activities to support growth and efficiency improvements.  This highly cross-functional role requires a high level of collaboration with various stakeholders including regional product management and stewardship, process technology, commercial and technical functions, supply chain and legal.  The global product/project manager will engage relevant stakeholders and drive completion of various types of projects with defined milestones and timing.


Essential Job Functions

  • Manage existing, new, and modifications to third party recognitions and listings with UL and NSF; coordinate with cross functional teams to resolve audit issues and drive resolution.
  • Project management of other 3rd party certifications, as defined by the Global Product Management Director, and required by the business for market entry (i.e., sustainability)
  • Manage all aspects of regulatory change management issues at the global level (including collaborations with the LLS Health global product manager and all relevant Estane support functions):
    • Identify affected products & perform business impact analyses
    • Collaborate with regional product managers to ‘cleanse’ unwanted data is SAP
    • Collaborate with product stewardship to obtain legal approved customer communications and supporting/educational information for regional product management to engage the sales team to deliver the communications
    • Prepare internal communications for commercial team
    • Collaborate with PT to open PPMP projects as needed
    • Engage R&D to identify acceptable alternatives
    • Collaborate with regional product managers, as needed, to support the execution of reformulation plans at regional level
  • With the Global Product Management Director, develop and maintain the Regulatory Annual Plan
  • Support the regional product managers via the creation of global business processes, procedures, and systems to drive alignment and improve working efficiencies
  • Support transformational technologies via the project management of complex commercial projects
  • Provide global coordination of cross functional teams for the implementation of the product data management (PDM) system
  • Project manage special projects to support growth, efficiency improvements, etc.



Requirements (Skills, Qualifications, Experience)


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in chemistry or engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in a product or project management role, or other relevant industrial experience
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and appropriately manage priorities
  • Self-motivated, highly driven, and comfortable leading a team environment
  • Detail and results oriented with highly effective organization and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead cross functional teams
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%
