Accountabilities

The Global Logistics Analyst will be accountable for ensuring continuous improvement of global logistics performance through systems, processes, governance, and services. In addition, this role will be accountable for further increasing the talent of the end user community through education and support.

 

  • Develop and maintain financial and statistical analysis dashboards on Logistics activities.
  • Monitor initiatives against benchmark metrics to pro-actively highlight areas of opportunity and improvement through gap analysis and regular communication with key stakeholders.
  • Participate in the execution of Request for Proposal (RFP) process with Logistics Procurement team and provide support on data collection and analytics through contract execution.
  • Participate in assessment, justification, implementation, and support of Logistics related projects, including but not limited to transportation and warehousing activities.  
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop and document current processes and procedures within the global Logistics area. 
  • Assess global business processes in the Logistics area and work with inter-regional colleagues to develop standardized best practice processes and improve deficiencies.
  • Serve as the key global point of contact for specific Logistics process areas as identified.
  • Assist with integration activities for future acquisitions
  • Develop expertise within areas of order management, Logistics procurement, SAP TM, and freight audit & payment.
  • Incorporate the overall company priorities of Safety, Operational Excellence and Cyber Security into all initiatives and work activities undertaken.
  • Provide timely and high-quality response to requests and feedback from internal and external customers

 

Requirements – education, experience, skills

  • Degree in a logistics-related discipline (e.g., engineering, supply chain, business, etc.), extensive experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum 5 years of logistics-related experience
  • Demonstrated analytical and business process skills
  • Passion for continuous improvements with the ability in manipulating data to explore, discover, investigate, visualize and to raise issues proactively and in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of SAP and reporting systems (BOBJ, SAC)
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Power BI experience. 
  • Must be able to relate well with individuals at various levels inside the organization
  • A team player able to organize, prioritize, and multi-task, adhering to and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to deal with regional cultural differences and requirements

  • Proven analytical skills

 

Considered a plus

  • Relevant advanced educational qualifications (e.g., MBA)
  • SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP TM experience
  • Experience as a member or leading projects involving change management
