Job Summary

The Lubrizol Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a positive and energetic candidate to drive results working with our creative services and marketing teams.  As a Creative Project Manager, the qualified candidate will lead tactical project process management across several businesses and global regions.  They will be responsible for working with internal and external creative resources to ensure project completion, share critical information, and ensure timelines and budgets are met.

 

Responsibilities

Creative Services Management

  • Plans and manages creative projects from inception to completion, including job initiation, resource allocation, project prioritization, meeting facilitation, project roadmap creation and project status notifications to ensure there is clarity and appropriate focus on project requests with key stakeholders.
  • Oversees brand quality standards, budgets and timelines for creative business projects.
  • Implements new or revised design and work processes within the Creative Project Services team.
  • Recommends enhancements and changes to the creative operations function to support corporate and business strategic plans.
  • Works with designers and creative managers to review final layouts and provide guidance for brand compliance and quality improvements.
  • Sets expectations and standards which supports the Creative Services culture; team player, creative, agile, results oriented and collaborative Business
  • Provides annual planning and budgeting input and support.

Business Management

  • Develops and maintains firm understanding of the Lubrizol business segments.
  • Partners with business teams and marketers to understand the business and marketing objectives that will deliver on their communication, tradeshow, social and digital strategic activities. 
  • Supports, builds and develops viable communication and digital programs with corporate, marketing and business communication leads.
  • Ensures business requirements are in place prior to the design phase of projects; including a comprehensive creative brief, outlining clear objectives, strategic messaging and reference materials.
  • Negotiates and communicates on agreed deliverables from the project requestor while preserving working relationships.

Vendor Management

  • Exhibits strong management and communication skills with vendor partners such as printers, freelancers and design agencies by providing clear direction around scope, Statements of Work, process, timing and deliverables.
  • Works with Creative Services to maintain relationships with a network of specialized external service providers for needs that are outside of Creative Services capabilities or capacity. 
  • Evaluates team and vendor capabilities, provides constructive feedback, and recommends developmental resources and alternative solutions.

Decision Making Authority

  • Decision making to ensure efficiencies regarding financial, graphic standards and creative quality
  • Manage, estimate and communicate production activities
  • Provide process and tool optimization management
  • Manage project timelines and resource commitments

Education, Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, or business
  • Minimum 3 years of creative project management experience (account coordination/traffic management)
  • Minimum of 3 years using project management technology, tools and systems; Agile and Waterfall experience preferred but not required
  • Market segment knowledge preferred but not required
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and team player
  • Must be assertive, professional and comfortable communicating with a range of business partners and stakeholders
  • Ability to change direction and accommodate new information as needed
  • Creative problem solving with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to communicate and facilitate multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge in print and video production
  • Advanced understanding in the terminology, process, formats and basic technical application of current communication tools for both PC and Mac platforms (ie, Fotoware, Microsoft Office products and applications (Teams, Power BI, Stream, Tasks by Planner, etc.), SharePoint, and Adobe Creative Production Software tools)
