The Quality Control Analyst is responsible for executing QC testing and related analytical activities supporting product development, release and stability. The QC Analyst conducts routine and non-routine chemical and physical analyses of raw materials, in-process materials and drug products according to standard operating procedures. The Quality Control Analyst revises and updates standard operating procedures as needed.


Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Operates analytical instrumentation (i.e. HPLC, UPLC, GC, UV-vis, FTIR, laser diffraction, KF)
  • Compiles data for documentation of testing that may include stability program testing
  • Participates in the preparation of investigations, summaries, and reports
  • Reviews data obtained for compliance to specifications and reports out-of-trend and/or out-of-specification results.
  • Monitors equipment and instrumentation used on a daily basis to ensure proper operation and calibration.
  • Assists in the writing and updating of analytical test procedures, protocol, logbooks and checklists
  • Participates in the construction and/or revision of SOPs.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree is preferred, preferably in a scientific field. 
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a QC lab, using instrumentation including HPLC.
  • Previous pharmaceutical experience highly preferred
  • Experience with executing QC test methods, cGMP,  Empower Chromatography software, generating associated data packages, &/or auditing data packages generated by others highly preferred.
  • Experience with Lab Management Systems and electronic lab notebooks is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills 
  • Proven technical writing and editing skills
