What You'll Do:

Lubrizol is currently seeking a collaborative Finance Manager to support Additives Americas Business unit. In this role you will be providing actionable, value creating financial insights to drive achievement of Lubrizol Americas’ business objectives. 

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Serve as a finance partner to our Additives Americas’ Driveline, OEM and Sales teams
  • Finance partner to Global Sales Account Team for key customer, headquartered in North America
  • Understand business strategic direction and assist in goal setting with the leadership team while actively participating in the strategic action planning process
  • Work with the commercial team on supply contracts, rebates, royalties, product pricing reviews to enhance Lubrizol returns; direct and ensure accurate accounting for contractual obligations
  • Collaborate with commercial and Painesville Plant teams on analyses of future Driveline business opportunities and potential capital investment scenarios.
  • Monitor, analyze, interpret, and evaluate business financial performance on monthly and quarterly basis; research and communicate variances and ensure accurate financial statements
  • Liaison with Lubrizol operations finance and plant controllers to understand the financial impact of manufacturing spend, L&O rates, variances, and material scrap/write-offs
  • Assist in the coordination, development, and analysis of the annual plan and forecasts
  • Monitor direct technical spend in alignment with annual budget
  • Perform financial analysis on strategic projects, including capital investments opportunities as needed
  • Ensure a strong finance control environment exists and is aligned with corporate policies
  • Support and promote a safe work environment
  • Additional duties or special projects as assigned

 

Skills That Make a Difference:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other relevant area of study from an accredited university. MBA, CPA, CMA or equivalent is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in varied financial or analytical positions
  • Technical skills and experience in GAAP accounting, financial modeling, and financial analysis concepts
  • Experience with SAP or PowerBI is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting
  • Excellent systems and financial modeling skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player, able to work well with people at all levels and across functions. Finance partnering is a plus!
