What You'll Do:

Lubrizol is currently looking for a Finance Manager to support our Global Supply Chain Finance team. In this role, you will provide financial insights to support operations objectives in the areas of Warehouse operations, Customer service, Inventory, and Tolling operations. Additionally, you will provide accurate and compliant financial reports to ensure a strong internal controls environment. This position will be based out of our Global Headquarters in Wickliffe, OH following a hybrid working model.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Participate in the monthly closing and quarterly close job tasks, including journal entries, reviews, account reconciliations, reporting, and property accounting.
  • Complete variance analysis and report key supply chain financial and performance metrics.  Communicate results through published reports and personal communication.  Review and analyze variances and adjustments monthly.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives, including process optimization, standardization, metrics harmonization, project review and benefit sign-off
  • Complete government, tax, and insurance requests relative to global operations team inclusive manufacturing plants and warehouse operations.
  • Assist in the annual budget process.
  • Lead the annual operating expense budget process and complete forecasting requirements.  Establish applicable annual labor and overhead rates.
  • Ensure that internal controls and measures on spending, production, working capital, and fixed assets are in place and functioning appropriately. Safeguard company assets. Ensure compliance with internal control narratives and policies.
  • Drive effective inventory controls (Non-Working Slow-Moving, cycle counting, inventory reconcilications and physical inventories.
  • Participate in Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes to ensure operations connectivity to demand drivers and improvements to spend forecasting. 
  • Global ownership of 3PL expense tracking and make vs. buy decisions.
  • Expected to offer surge capacity to Procurement team during monthly closing and annual operating plan cycles.

 

Skills That Make a Difference:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field.
  • 7+ years’ experience in manufacturing accounting and/or varied financial/analytical accounting positions.
  • Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel functions required. Experience with BOBJ and Power BI preferred.
  • Proven self-starter with a desire to achieve, strong team focus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Ability to work in teams and communicate effectively with other departments
  • Previous plant, cost accounting, supply chain or operations finance experience
