JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Supports the execution and maintenance of safe and reliable plant operations by performing work in the warehouse areas with a forklift, assisting with process units, material transfer and utilities operations at plant sites, as well as basic frontline maintenance activities, under close supervision and in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 
  • Assists with process product sampling to ensure that the product quality is within customers’ requirements. 
  • Applies safe work procedures and risk control measures to ensure work activities are carried out safely. He is a member of the Emergency Response Organisation (ERO) team and he supports continuous improvement projects in plants. 
  • Works on a single shift, in a team, and in the field. 
  • He is a good team player and is able to interact effectively with others.

 

KEY TASKS:

 

  • Applies risk control measures to ensure work activities are carried out safely.
  • Complies with the Lubrizol Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Complies with the Lubrizol Human Performance Improvement (HPI).
  • Enters records and completing forms.
  • Participates in toolbox meetings prior to starting work activities where applicable.
  • Performs good housekeeping in the workplace such as ground keeping, painting, cleaning and tank cleaning.
  • Conducts and carries out tasks as reasonably directed and requested with supervision.
  • Forklift operation such stacking and fueling.
  • Assists in basic frontline maintenance, process sampling and testing.
  • Assists in basic troubleshooting during all modes of operation, including process upset conditions.
  • Assists in preparing process equipment and work areas for mechanical, maintenance and turnaround works.
  • Assists in routine field data logging and reporting.
  • Assists in the start-up, monitoring and shutdown of process units and utilities at plant sites.
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for process operations.
  • Supports continuous improvement projects.

        
REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE: 

 

  • Essential
    • Forklift License
    • Driver’s License
  • Minimum 5 years experience in petrochemical or similar industry
  • Experience in manufacturing plant and/or operations
  • Desirable
    o    SAP Experience
    o    Boiler attendance certificate o    Confined space certificate
  • Ability to work as a team player with good attitude
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels both internal and external.
  • Demonstrate ability read MSDS and ability to use appropriate PPE.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude on the operation of pumps, valves reading pressure, temperature controls.
  • Ability to carry out and follow written work procedures/ instructions.
  • Ability to complete forms.
  • Ability to use computer for training, extract documents, use emails and intranet
