What You'll Do: 
As a Global Process Owner - Demand Planning, you would accountable for deploying, sustaining and continuously improving a best-in-class Global Demand Planning process, enhancing user adoption and driving continuous improvement.  This will incldue leading the definition, implementation, governance and continuous improvement of all processes and technology in her/his functional area across regions and business units for LZ globally. The GPO will be a visible, leading and supporting partner for the Operations Supply Chain end user community, ensuring alignment with strategic direction.
 

What We're Looking For:
•    Processes:   As owner, responsible for defining all processes in her/his area of responsibility, i.e. policy/process description, including: purpose – scope – deliverables – performance measurement – RASCI. Liaise with internal and external partners (research and advisory companies, Berkshire affiliates) to ensure best-in-class process design and implementation. 
•    Technology:   
o    Drive maximal adoption of Kinaxis Rapid ResponseÒ (RR) technology for Demand Planning. Where Kinaxis RR cannot be utilized, work with IT to scout the market for new technology and applications supporting the assigned processes, approve functional spec – support IT with selection and implementation. Alternatively work with LZ/CoE internal resources to build technology/tools in house. Standardizing technology, tools and reports for Demand Planning across all LZ GBU.    
o    Ensure full alignment and effective connectivity with adjacent processes, such as Sales/Product Mgmt (CRM) and Finance (Anaplan)
•    Organization:   
o    Write process related role descriptions, perform gap analysis to existing roles, define required skillsets and competencies as a service to Supply Chain and Operations. Work with regional and global Supply Chain/Demand Planning and HR for role assignment to demand planning positions, assist in hiring process where requested/applicable. 
o    Lead the global Subject Matter Expert Network for Demand Planning; assist Supply Chain with SME selection ensuring a robust pipeline for succession planning
•    Governance:   
o    Stakeholder Management: actively engage in conversations with key stakeholders to align direction and priorities in the area of Demand Planning
o    Support the Manager, Global Demand Planning & IBP CoE with development of the strategic roadmap
o    KPI’s & Metrics: define process related functional KPI’s and metrics. Work with the Manager, Supply Chain Integration & Analytics to drive process and performance improvement through data analytics and for reporting.
•    Operational Excellence: 
o    Measure and drive process adoption; lead execution of a process related internal audit program; assist the Manager, Supply Chain Integration & Analytics with setup of internal audits. Update processes, policies and training material based on audit findings and changes in strategy.  
o    Continuous Improvement: keep processes and policies up-to-date, lead improvement initiatives in execution of processes within the Business, Commercial, product Mgmt and Supply Chain end user community
•    Training:   Determine training needs, write and update process/policy related training material; organize external training where applicable. Revise documentation/manuals based on outcome of internal audits. Deliver training to Subject Matter Experts, perform new Demand Planner onboarding. 

 

Skills That Make a Difference:
•    Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Planning, Engineering, Applied Economics or other relevant degree with proven ability to develop logical data analysis to drive process improvements
•    Minimum 8 years Lubrizol experience or external supply chain (planning, demand) related experience as solid foundation
•    Process oriented with a passion for excellence; demonstrated willingness to challenge status quo and drive continuous improvement
•    Promote Lubrizol’s Cultural beliefs
•    Demonstrate balanced approach to business, operations, cost and service
•    Fluent in English
•    Willing to travel up to 20 % of time, domestic and interregional  
•    Preferred knowledge of Kinaxis Rapid ResponseÒ, SAP S4/ECC
•    Preferred Work experience relevant to supply chain processes: this may include production planning and scheduling, customer experience, inventory management, demand management, S&OP/IBP, operations.  
•    Advanced degrees or training supporting knowledge of demand planning, S&OP or IBP (Oliver Wight, CPIM or other relevant APICS certification), MBA
