ACCOUNTABILITY

 

This role oversees the formulating and implementing the overall financial strategy for the operational units in support of the overall company’s business objectives. 

The role leads Lubrizol Singapore accounting team to ensure the compliance with US & local GAAP, Lubrizol policies and statutory requirements.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Manage day to day operations of Lubrizol Singapore, Indonesia and Taiwan entities' overall finances;
  • Responsible for full sets of accounts of Lubrizol Singapore and ensure the compliance with US and local GAAPs, Lubrizol policies and statutory requirements;
  • Manage costing, inventory activities, fixed assets;
  • Deep involvement in annual manufacturing & capital budgeting;
  • Ensure timely month-end close and submission of management reports;
  • Prepare monthly closing activities, ensure TB is well maintained and closed in a timely & efficient manner.
  • Responsible for preparation of tax computation, and handling tax queries /audit;
  • Work with external auditors on statutory audit requirements;
  • Provide finance partner support to operations team, manage cost and expense of operational units, driving cost saving initiatives and productivity/efficiency improvement;
  • Manage transfer pricing arragnements and audits and communication with tax authorities
  • Effectively manage tax inventives and also work with local government agencies for potential new programs 
  • Work with local government agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure tax inventive targets are met
  • Work with treasury teams to maximize cash flow
  • Play an important role in the finance departmental and cross functional operational excellence and process improvement initiatives;
  • Lead, motivate and develop the team;
  • Any ad hoc tasks as required;

 

REQUIREMENTS (education, experience, specific job requirements):

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, major in accounting, finance or business management;
  • CA/ACCA/CPA holder is preferred;
  • 10+ years' relevant experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment;
  • 4+ years’ experience in handling full set of accounts;
  • Proven track record in supervising team;
  • Systems knowledge of SAP/BPC is a plus;
  • A strong team player and driven with a positive mindset;
  • Good interpersonal and problem solving skills;
  • Strong leadership
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
