What You'll Do:

As a Senior Mechanical Integrity Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation. The Corporate Sr. Mechanical Integrity Engineer is recognized as a subject matter expert (SME) in fixed equipment focusing on Mechanical Integrity and asset management strategies which include but are not limited to Inspection/Testing/Repairs, RCAs, Criticality Assessments, PM reviews/PM Optimization and Risk‐Based methodology.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Assists with implementation and improvements of Mechanical Integrity standards in the Americas.
  • Conducts critically equipment assessments.
  • Implements asset strategies aligned with criticality and needs of the business.
  • Recommends appropriate condition monitoring tools and techniques to improve effectiveness of Mechanical Integrity program.
  • Conducts ad hoc RCA, FMEAs, PM reviews and PM Omission exercises as required.
  • Part of the Asset Management Strategy Corporate team.
  • Reviews Engineering Design as required to ensure “Design for Reliability” is achieved.
  • Perform PSM audits as requested to determine if sites are meeting compliance and introduce countermeasures to close any findings related to Mechanical Integrity.
  • Provides technical expertise to sites as required.
  • Assists with implementation of corporate Physical Asset Management (PAM) standards at Lubrizol sites.
  • Develops Lubrizol Corporate standards for reliability practices and most effective technology (MET).
  • Trains and mentors site staff on Mechanical Integrity standards and processes.
  • Stays current on industry reliability methods and Mechanical Integrity practices.

 

Skills That Make a Difference:

  • 10 years’ experience working as a Mechanical Integrity Engineer or 15 years’ experience as a Maintenance Engineer working closely with API inspectors.
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience conducting RCA’s, FMEA’s and PM Reviews focusing on fixed equipment.
  • SME on fixed equipment which includes inspection, testing and repairs on pressure vessels, atmospheric tanks, pressure relief devices, heat exchangers and process piping which follows relevant API/ASME codes or RAGAGEP.
  • Solid understanding of Risk‐Based Inspection program and damage mechanisms.
  • Leadership and technical skills to help mentor other site fixed equipment engineers/technicians throughout the Americas.
  • Travel up to 25% in the Americas.

 

Considered a Plus:

  • Certifications in API 510, 653, 570, 571, 579, 580 or ASME FFS‐1
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)
  • Experience with SAP S/4
  • Implementation of an IDMS throughout an organization
  • TAR experience in chemical facility
  • High level RCA’s which has resulted in >$1 million in maintenance savings or significant improvements to critical equipment in high demand process.
  • Developed a long‐term (10 year) strategy for Risk‐Based Inspection strategy.
